Confessions of a shopaholic

And this is why I'm perpetually broke.

No, I'm not about to pretend I don't love a good bargain. Nothing can keep me away from Topshop and Zara for the merry month of July. Although I'm not particularly keen on their summer collection this year, I'm not stupid enough to resist buying some key pieces from my two true loves.

Now, if only money would grow on trees. I'm still trying (DESPERATELY!!!) to save up like a mature person as part of my self-imposed "saving up for the future" resolution this year. I've resorted to all sorts of desperate measures to keep my inner Becky Bloomwood from shopping like there's no tomorrow. Half of my money's converted in US dollars (so I won't be tempted to spend, see?), and the other half is in a mutual fund or an ATM card-less bank account somewhere. Wish me luck, fools. I intend to keep it.

Or not. Oh dear.

And because I need a de-stresser:

Jake sent me the link for Cupcakes by Sonja's website a few weeks ago, it's currently my happy place online. :-)

Thinking of bright, sunny days

Well, this is depressing. I barely blogged for the entire month of June. The combined work load of graduate school and work is slowly taking its toll. I'm swamped with reports and case studies and I no longer have time to write for myself. I feel too stressed and sad but I'm looking forward to happier days ahead. I just need to get back on track.

On a lighter note, June has been a great month for me, vacation-wise. Bohol and Boracay and one too many dates with the boyfriend.

Thinking of bright sunny days.

Back to regular blogging soon.

Three years of "adulthood"

If it weren't for the kids wearing togas around campus yesterday, I would have totally forgotten that we graduated exactly three years ago last June 21, 2008. It's been that long since we were students and yet I wonder why we still act like college kids.

With my forever classmate, seatmate, and groupmate. We marched right next to each other at PICC and sat beside each other. <3
