Christmas wish list (Part 2)

Well, that was fast. After a couple of visits to the mall for my Christmas shopping, I already spotted a lot of things that I WANT FOR MYSELF.

So in the hopes of someone feeling generous this season, here's my wish list par deux!

1) New jeans
I lost my favorite pair of Levi's (I think our plantsadora either burned it or nicked it) and I want a new pair to ease the pain. Or whatever. I just want new jeans.

I'm a Demi curve, size 25, and I prefer this modern skinny cut in ink. No streaks and bleach wash styles, please. Kisses!

2) Upper Canada's cupcakes line

After roaming around Beauty Bar to look for gift ideas for my cousins, I spotted a couple of cupcake-themed lip balms, nail files, and whatnot. Jake had a blast laughing at my tendencies to want "useless stuff" the whole time we were roaming around the mall. Hey, it's Christmas. You're entitled to want useless stuff you don't need but WANT. Such as these:

3) Knock-knock stuff!!!
Even more useless stuff, I had a hard time leaving Fully Booked after seeing these babies. I need them! I'm sure I will find some noble use for them.

For when I want to delegate work:

To solve my everyday problem of what to wear:

Because my friends keep borrowing my books without returning them:

4) Modern Family 2012 desk calendar
What could be more perfect than reading the funniest Modern Family quotes everyday next year? It's something to look forward to, right? I also saw this at Fully Booked and I WAAAANT IT.

5) M.A.C. eye pencil in Coffee
I'm almost out of eyeliner and too kuripot to replace it just yet in the hopes of getting a new one for Christmas.

That Topshop song you can't get out of your head

I have no idea if it's just me or if every girl who shops at Topshop instantly becomes addicted to their I-wanna-dance-while-I-shop music that leaves one lss-ing for hours. I do know I have annoyed some of the salesladies whenever I nag them to give me their playlist just so I cab track it down and download it from some obscure artist who's probably all hip and indie--in other words, someone I'm absolutely clueless about as my knowledge of music only includes all things Britney, Miley, and Swifty.

So, after a couple of minutes on Google, I found out there's a lot of shopaholics out there who also want to get their hands on the playlist of Topshop stores around the world. There's even a site (aptly sub-titled "The Songs You Hear But Never Know The Names Of") dedicated to researching the lyrics of the songs just so they can download the set list. Thank you, shallow-minded girls like me!!!

I also dropped by Inside Out, Topshop's official blog, to check if they finally include specific songs from their On Our Playlist tags, but no. I got these awesome pictures of some of the artists, though.

Happy thoughts and shopping memories while I'm listening to my new Topshop playlist!!! :-)

My dream house and backyard peg

I am totally replicating a library this awesome for my future house. Now, how to become a millionaire for this awesomeness?

And if I can't afford it, I would happily settle for this in my backyard:

I can already picture myself lying there watching movies all night <3

Sweet Valley High movie!

I am speechless. I cannot process this happiness.

Diablo Cody, the genius behind Juno, has confirmed she's still working on the Sweet Valley High movie! I am mentally jumping up and down like a little tween. I grew up with Jessica and Lila as my role models, and have collected almost every book in the Kids, Teens,  Junior High, High,  Senior Year, University, Unicorn Club, and even those boring Elizabeth goes to London series.

TOO  AWESOME FOR WORDS.

My Christmas wish list (Part 1)

It's that merry time of the year again! And, without fail, here's my annual wish list for my secret admirers (that means you, Jake)

1) FitFlop Floretta in antique white, size 6
Because I love Timmy, my high school barkada and FitFlop brand associate extraordinaire, and because I firmly believe FitFlop helps tone my legs, this is on top of my 2012 must-have. It'll be perfect for my everyday wear at the office or when I'm rumarampage around town.

2) Sara Happ Vanilla Bean Lip Scrub

For my perpetually dry and immune to lip balm lips, I'm perfectly happy with the cocoa flavor too.

3) Burt's Bees Lip Balm, Cuticle Cream, and Lotion

Because I'm in love with all things Burt's Bees and I've been slapping on my pomegranate lip balm like there's no tomorrow, I need this. Badly. (And those cute butterflies, too)

4) Cupcake-scented reed diffuser

I can't find the particular product picture online but I already saw one at Rustan's Makati. It's in a cylinder container and is all pink and girly. MUST GET THIS. I can't imagine a happier place than where it smells like cupcakes all the time.

5) Zara cable knit cardigan in mid grey

I need one. I'm so sick and tired of my old ones, plus it's always too cold at the office. I'm a size small, thanks very much.

6) A decent travel-sized hairbrush

Because I'm an idiot who keeps losing her hair brushes, I believe I deserve at least a decent hairbrush to replace all the ones I've lost. Denman or Acca Kappa will do.

So that's it for now. Knowing me and my shallow self, I'll be coming up with more petty needs for Christmas. Make me happy!

I want cupcakes, please

I wish Sonja of Cupcakes by Sonja would find it in her heart to open another shop, preferably nearer my place so I don't have to go all the way to Serendra whenever I'm having a case of cupcake withdrawal. Which is practically every other day. Yeah. I'm craving cupcakes again.

No wonder I can't lose 4 pounds.

You know you love Voldemort

Holidaze in the air

We've been busy putting up Christmas decors here at the office and I'm already feeling the Christmas cheer. So, in the merry spirit of Christmas, here you go fools:

Pepper turns two

My baby Pepper turned two last Sunday! She's gotten so big and fat already, I can barely carry her with two arms. I can't help feeling she knew it was her special day and caught her waiting outside my room early in the morning wagging her tail.

Belated happy birthday, cutie pie.

Fire is catching

Too awesome for words.

Bloody Mary in a jiffy

So I totally forgot to blog about how I dressed up as Bloody Mary for Halloween. Yep, my plans of being a bloody cheerleader failed--no thanks to my measly connections at DLSU's sports office. I threw together a lace veil I found in my lola's aparador, a long satin skirt I found in our old school costumes box, and wore my black tight-fit lace mini-dress as a top and voila, Bloody Mary. I also meant to go as a vampire but Toys R Us ran out of fangs so I bought some fake blood instead--instant bloody tears!

I kind of predicted Jake wouldn't show up in costume so I planned ahead and bought these goofy vampire glasses. You can't run away from my Halloween spirit, boy.

Wishing lanterns and buckets of wings

So, in honor of 11-11-11, someone had a brilliant plan to let loose 100 wishing lanterns tomorrow night at exactly (what else) 11:11 pm during the Banchetto night market. I was all set to go and even bring my own lantern--you can get those at Php 50 a pop at 168 but then the boyfriend tactfully reminded me that the place will be so goddamn crowded I may not even have my own personal space to light and let loose my own Tangled affair. Considering the last time I attempted to light one was pretty funny disastrous, I think I'd better steer clear from this one.

I am blaming Tangled for giving me a wishing lantern frustration after one too many times of watching the lantern scene. My officemates and I attempted to surprise our boss with one but the fire ran out before he even got to see it. Yeah, we didn't get to let it float. I have a spare one, though. I can't wait to use it next time I'm at the beach.

But since my sister's going, I'll head to the Ortigas area with bells on but only to possibly (here's to hoping we don't revert back to Charlie's) hang out at Sunrise Buckets with Jake. I've been meaning to blog about my latest happy place. Buffalo wings and Roxy/beach paraphernalia? Come on!

Can't wait to pig out on buckets (yes, plural) of wings!

Turning twenty-three at Cafe 1771

Any excuse to eat at Cafe 1771 is always a valid excuse for me. It's such a happy place, full of trinkets and bright things that I'm always in a good mood when I'm there. I don't mind turning twenty-three if it means I get to pig out on organic chickens and vegetable lasagnas and whatnot.

I just love the cozy interiors of The Lounge. Meet my mom, Dina, my sister, Bernice, and my Lola Mely. Nice thug face, Jake.

So we pigged out on these: sardines and capers pasta

Squash flowers with anchovies

Salbacho pizza

Our favorite cheesy vegetable lasagna

Two organic chickens!

After lunch, I was too full to just sit there so I went upstairs to check out The Winebar where Jake and I had dinner for our fourth anniversary. I can't get over how elegant the place looks every single time.

See you soon, for brunch, maybe? I'm craving Eggs Benedict. :-)

Why you so obssessed with me

You can ask me about my clothes, where I eat, what to do, where to go, but you don't have to copy and re-enact every single detail right down to how I pose and write, dear. There's this thing called originality? Look it up.
