Universal Studios day! But before anything else, can I just say that I'm already craving for some Milo McFlurry right now? I love how everyone's crazy about Milo in Singapore. One can never have too much Milo Dinosaur, in my opinion. I wonder if I can bring a sachet of Milo and maybe some Milo cereal at a McDonald's here in Manila and ask them to mix it with my sundae instead of Oreo? Yes?
This was also the day that Jake arrived with his family and I was too excited to see him the next day. I'm already dreading my bill for the merry month of April, I sent Jake too many texts trying to coordinate our Singapore-lah date.
When we got to Resorts World, I made a beeline for Hershey's Chocolate World. The place is heaven for a chocoholic like me. I can't get over the scent of chocolate when you're inside the store, too addicting. My friends had a hard time dragging me out of the shop. Hee.

We had an awesome time parading around with the characters and taking pictures inside souvenir shops. For starters, we rode the Galactica roller coaster--which was a wrong move, I think. We had no idea how intense the roller coaster was, and we only rode the red one meant for humans. I'm still hoarse from all the screaming I did. After managing to get up from our seats with shaky legs, we decided we've had enough of roller coasters and passed up the chance to ride the Cylon inverted roller coaster.
Yeah, I'm a sucker for Betty Boop.
Too shocked to do anything else.
Tar! Cleopatra's so thin!
Also a sucker for penguins! :)
Another happy place for me, mostly because of the Gingy souvenirs.
We didn't get to ride any of the attractions here--there was a 2 hour line for everything!
And because we are a crazy bunch, we rode the Revenge of the Mummy four times. Yes. Why? We wanted to get the perfect shot. A print-out of the picture costs $18, after all. There were one too many mistakes and failed poses that we ended up riding again and again until we got a perfect synchronized shot. We are losers, we know. Our final shot was worth it, though!
After we soaked up all the sights Universal had to offer, we went off to Siloso beach to catch the sunset and Mitch and I explored Orchard Road to prepare for our shopping escapade. I was beyond excited when I saw the Cotton On staff at 313@Somerset putting up 30% off signs all over the store! Talk about perfect timing! I just love this mall. Jake's so lucky, his hotel--Grand Park Orchard (apart from having a Topshop in the lobby), is steps away from 313. It has four floors of Forever 21, plus a huge Zara, and Cotton On. I spent many happy hours there, which I'll write about tomorrow. I'm too sleepy to function right now.
